My point of view:

Does every 2nd child in the family left neglected?

- Yes.

Why?

- Cuz parent desperately wants a child to fill the house with noise. Ah..Finally the 1st child is born. Of course, she will get wat she wants and pass down wat she got to her siblings. Now, wat they need is just having someone to entertain her when she grow up.Yea, that's when the 2nd child is being brought to the world. The 1st child's play-mate. =_="

After that, came a son who can carry on the family name. Hai.. Of course they will take special care on him la. Hmm..nair mind, but suddenly come 'an accident' child, which obviously is the 4th child. Since she is the youngest, of course she will get special advantage la! Argh...

So, in the end, it turns out to be the 2nd child who is left neglected. Dont you think so?

Yea, even though parent still pour the equal amount of LOVE on her. It's still so obvious to her that her parents gave other 'MORE' attention to her siblings. She did mention about it, but parent still treat it as 'childish and unreasonable' way of her to have.
